Each student is placed with a carefully selected French host family, offering a unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships, practice the language, and gain a firsthand perspective on daily life in France. These personal connections often result in lifelong friendships. You now have your own French family.

Students are fully prepared before departure through our comprehensive orientation and cultural training, which introduces them to French customs, homestay expectations, safety practices, and communication tips. During the program, they receive consistent check-ins and have 24/7 access to Go World’s support team, local coordinators, and host families so they’re never navigating the experience alone.

This solo program is designed to build self-confidence, independence, and resilience. Students receive guidance, not directives, helping them step outside their comfort zones while still knowing they have structured support whenever they need it.

Students experience the best of Normandy in Northern France, from the tidal wonder of Mont Saint-Michel and the historic D-Day landing beaches to the medieval streets and half-timbered charm of Rouen. Normandy’s famous “3 C’s” (Camembert cheese, apple cider, and cream) showcase the region’s culinary heritage, while coastal villages, countryside markets, and seaside promenades offer an authentic glimpse into everyday French life.

Students receive an arrival welcome and round-trip airport transfer with a French coordinator from Normandy Rouen Airport (URO).

Participants book their own flights 30–60 days before departure. Families in the U.S. are responsible for airport drop-off and pick-up.
